HTC One A9 was officially introduced on October 20. At launch, the US price was said to be $399.99 (off-contract), however, it was apparently a limited period offer and the price will be increased by $100 starting from November 7.

The HTC One A9 will cost $499.99 in USA starting from November 7. So, you have around one week to purchase it at $399.99 before the price shoots up by $100. In UK, it costs £429.99 which is equal to US $665 now.
Official statement from HTC regarding the price of the One A9:
“The cost of the HTC One A9 is the same worldwide to all distributors and operator partners. For end consumers, HTC’s sales regions are given the freedom to set prices and promotions as they see fit for local market needs. The One A9 price in the US is a very limited-time promotional offer for that region’s online store, as well as select HTC-only franchise stores. The offer is a special promotional pre-sale and is expected to conclude once the One A9 is available on-shelf at major retail and distributor partners. After the promotional pre-sale offer ends, the new price in the US at htc.com will be $499.99 beginning 12:01 on 11/7.”

HTC One A9 Specifications
The HTC One A9 features a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD AMOLED display that is protected by a 2.5D Gorilla Glass 4. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 617 processor along with Adreno 405 GPU. It comes with 2 / 3 GB of RAM and has 16 / 32 GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 2 TB via microSD card. The device runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box with the latest HTC UI on top of it.
The One A9 rocks a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, BSI sensor, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) and f/2.0 aperture. On the front, there is a ultrapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calling. Both of them shoot Full HD 1080p videos. It is 7.26 mm thick and weighs 143 grams. There is a fingerprint scanner integrated into the home button as well. It comes with powerful speakers on the bottom with built-in DAC that delivers 192kHz / 24 bit studio-quality audio.
On the connectivity front, the One A9 include 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. The smartphone packs in a 2,150 mAh battery under the hood that supports Quick Charge 3.0. The One A9 is available in Opal Silver, Carbon Gray, Topaz Gold and Deep Garnet color variants.
